At Bear Creek Family Dentistry, we have skilled oral surgeons available in the comfortable, convenient offices you already know and trust. In most cases, we'll work hard to avoid removing teeth by providing advanced restorative solutions that look, feel, and function just like natural teeth. However, there are some situations where tooth removal is the safest and most effective path forward. The most commonly extracted teeth are the third molars — often referred to as wisdom teeth — which erupt between the ages of 17 and 25. Our oral surgery services also include dental implant placement and bone grafting, giving our patients access to a full range of surgical care without having to travel elsewhere.
Oral and maxillofacial surgeons are trained in a hospital-based residency training program for a minimum of four years.
Training includes internal medicine, general surgery, anesthesiology, otolaryngology, plastic surgery, emergency medicine, and other specialty areas.
