Pediatric dentists complete four years of dental school plus two or three additional years of rigorous specialized training.
Prepares pediatric dentists to meet the needs of infants, children, and adolescents, including persons with special health care needs.
During first visits, digital X-rays and images are captured, smiles are carefully examined, teeth are cleaned, and oral hygiene routines are discussed.
Two dental assistants are assigned when a child comes in — one focused on treatment and one dedicated to staying with the child.
